Started in 2002 (previously this college football bowl game was also known as the Queen City Bowl (2002 - 2004) and Continental Tire Bowl), the match-up features the fifth choice teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and the Big East Conference. In the Meineke Car Care Bowl 2009, played at the Bank of America Stadium in North Carolina's Charlotte, we will be able to see the Pittsburgh Panthers against the North Carolina Tarheels.

The site of the Meineke Car Care Bowl game, the Bank of America Stadium, is also the home of the NFL Carolina Panthers. It seats an amazing number of over 73,000 spectators.
